Committed to revolutionizing investment management, we seek a strategic and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our business development efforts in India.

 

Job Summary

As the Director of Sales, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of Startup Steroid. Your role will be hands-on sales activity, identifying strategic business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the expansion of our customer base. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in sales, leadership, a deep understanding of the startup investment landscape, and the ability to execute strategic sales initiatives. You will also be responsible for hiring, managing, and leading a high-performance sales team.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  2. Product Knowledge: Drive a deep understanding of our platforms’ features, benefits, and value propositions.
  3. Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  4. Sales Presentations: Spearhead compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the platforms’ benefits, addressing client concerns.
  5. Client Acquisition: Oversee establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring alignment with their investment needs.
  6. Negotiation and Closing: Take a lead role in high-stakes negotiations, prepare proposals, and drive the timely closure of deals.
  7. Sales Reporting: Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions using the CRM system.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing valuable client feedback to continually enhance product offerings.
  9. Team Leadership: Build, lead and mentor a team of Business Development/Sales Representatives to achieve sales targets.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in business development and sales, preferably in the financial technology or investment management industry.
  • Strong understanding of startup investments, venture capital, and the broader financial ecosystem.
  • Experience in selling SaaS platform
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to motivate and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
